No mistakes, only happy accidents!

"I was the lucky winner of a gift certificate for lesson voucher at a silent auction in my son's high-school. As such, I didn't know what to expect.

The 4-hour lesson turned out to be a very pleasant surprise!

Peter guided me through his fail-safe 4-stage method. He helped to prepare the canvas (paint the background), design the painting, go through the blocking in process, mix the colours, choose the right brush and a suitable way for holding/using it (depending on desired effect).

Peter was very generous with painting tips & tricks. Clearly he has a great deal of knowledge which he is happy to share. His attitude is relaxed and very encouraging.

There are NO mistakes in his system, only "happy accidents". He is flexible, and willing to adjust the painting to suit the student, for example he was quite happy to help me paint people instead of boats.

I was pleased with the outcome and amazed at what I've accomplished in just one afternoon."

Enjoyed the colour tips!

"I enjoyed going back to basics in terms of the colours - the placement of the primary colours on the palette, the cool/warm colours, and the use of complementary colours. Also the blocking in process is great!"
